54-Ben Bowler on Consciousness and Changing the World

My guest in this episode is Ben Bowler who is the Executive Director of Unity Earth, and I loved this conversation because he's an interesting guy and a perfect fit for his role building a "global network dedicated to fostering peace, purpose, and interspiritual understanding through events such as World UNITY Week and Peace Week". He has been described as a unity activist and spiritual entrepreneur, and he has had diverse spiritual and cultural experiences in China, Burma, Thailand, and elsewhere since growing up in Australia. In 2008, he helped found World Weavers, a spiritual adventures enterprise, and remains actively involved with them. We talked about interspirituality, a term coined by Wayne Teasdale, which goes beyond interfaith to include and embrace spirituality beyond religions and includes indigenous traditions and honors both the oneness and uniqueness of all traditions. UNITY EARTH is very focused on bringing greater unity and peace to the world, but Bowler emphasized that the goal (for all of us) must be to raise human consciousness because that is a prerequisite for peace.
